Two observations about Texas: 1) the people are friendlier than in California. They look you in the eye and have time for you and, 2) the woman don't dress like hoochie mamas, they dress like women. We really like San Antonio. Any other observations about state comparisons?
When we first moved to Utah I was asked for differences in CA and UT, and the first thing that would come to mind was the elevated friendliness/niceness of Utahns vs Californians. I believe that still holds true. Not that Californians are not friendly/nice, just that they're more so here.
It's deathly hot almost all year round! That's enough to keep me away! Plus, I think my husband loathes it as much as he loathes black bean soup. These are strong feelings from him by the way!

Sounds like Hal is talking himself into moving to San Antonio. That will really be weird. Trips to Cali wouldn't be the same.
I read about San Antonio once. It was a nice article.
